Arrival & Departure Times

Your accommodation will be ready by 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

House guidance/rules

Please take a moment to review our house rules below, which help us ensure every guest arrives to a clean and well-functioning home.

As Mount Pleasant is also our family holiday home, we ask guests to enjoy the house respectfully so it remains a lovely place for others to enjoy too. We want you to have a relaxing stay and make many lasting memories here.
We will be contactable by text or phone at reasonable times and will try our very best to rectify any issues. Please let us know promptly of any problems.

The maximum number of persons using the accommodation must not exceed 12.
No parties with extra visitors.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome unless otherwise agreed in writing before your stay.
Dogs should stay downstairs and off the furniture, please.
Strictly no smoking or vaping indoors, and no cigarette ends or litter left outside. Please be considerate to neighbours and keep noise outside to a minimum between 11pm and 7am. No fireworks.

Please do not charge electric vehicles at the house. There are 3 public chargers in the village car park less than a 5-minute walk away. Our insurance does not allow EV charging at the property with a standard socket due to the fire risk.

We provide reclining sun loungers, a BBQ, log burner and fire pit for guests to enjoy during their stay. Please note that you use these entirely at your own risk and must use them in an appropriate and safe manner.
We accept no liability for injury as a result of using this equipment

Cleaning and checkout instructions

On your departure date, please vacate the house before 10 am and leave it tidy with all items and furniture returned to their original places. We understand that accidents happen and don’t charge for minor breakages.
Please let us know promptly if anything gets broken, so we can fix or replace the item for you and future guests.

All reasonable cleaning is included in the cost of your stay.

Please follow the waste and recycling guidance provided, as holiday let collections differ from normal household arrangements.

Please run the dishwasher before you leave and, if time, put items away once clean.

We kindly ask that every (used) bed is stripped down to the mattress and pillow protectors. This helps prevent lost property and allows the house to be prepared efficiently for the next guests.

Your damage bond will be returned within a week of your stay, provided the above guidance has been followed.
Additional charges may apply for late checkout, unwashed dishes, excessive cleaning, damage, missing items, or rubbish/dog waste not disposed of as requested.

Making a Booking

All bookings via our online reservation system should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email. This booking confirmation email forms a contract between you and Mount Pleasant.
It is strongly recommended that you are protected for cancellation by travel insurance prior to making a booking.

To secure your booking, please pay a 20% deposit (or full payment).
The remaining balance is due no later than 10 weeks before your stay.

Payment can be manual or by credit card via Stripe.

The price includes fast fibre Wi-Fi, utilities, a basket of logs, bedding, bath towels, and cleaning.
If required, please bring your own beach towels, travel cot bedding, dog towels, dog beds and blankets.


Damage deposit bond
The £300 refundable damage bond is payable on your arrival date.

Cancellation
If you need to cancel your booking, please do so in writing by email.
The 20% booking deposit is non-refundable.
Any balance paid will only be refunded if we are able to re-let the property for your dates. If the property is re-let at a lower rate, or additional costs are incurred, the difference may be deducted from the refund.
After we receive your booking deposit, you will receive an email from [email protected], (sometimes redirected to spam/junk folders) containing the link to our digital guest guide. This can be shared with your group and has directions, house information and many local recommendations. This will be resent just before your stay along with the code for the key safe to enable self-check in.
